Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
At this time of year, we usually ask the children to choose three friends whom they would like to be with in their new class in September. During this time we explain to the children that although they have given three names and we will do our best to keep them together, this cannot be guaranteed.
Due to the current situation, please could all Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 parents please talk to their child and ask them to choose three friends. Please email your child’s name along with the names of their chosen 3 friends (in priority order with 1 being the most wanted) to their class teacher by Friday June 12th.
E.g.
Child’s name:
1st Friendship choice:
2nd Friendship choice:
3rd Friendship choice:
Please use class email addresses to send your list to your child's class teacher. E.g. class1photos@educ.somerset.gov.uk (change the class number to match your chlid's class).
Dear Residents,
This is just a quick note to say how Milford Infant and Junior Schools are managing now we are open to children in nursery, reception, Year 1, Year 6 and children with Key Worker parents from June 2nd. Currently, neither school has all the children attending in these year groups.
In order to encourage social distancing around the school site, some Infant school parents will be using the Glenthorne Avenue entrance and some will be entering via Glenthorne Avenue and leaving via Chelston Avenue. Parents and children from the Junior School will be entering via Glenthorne Avenue and leaving via Chelston Avenue.
We have staggered arrival and pick up times with set classes arriving at certain times between 8.30am and 9.15am and leaving between 2.50pm and 3.45pm. On a Friday, most of the children will be leaving between 12.30pm and 1.40pm.
Parents and children have been encouraged to walk to school and if they have to drive they have been asked to park responsibly.
Kind regards
Milford Infant and Junior Schools
