Ofsted Short Inspection Report

Date of inspection- 10/02/2026

I am pleased to share with you our Ofsted report from the inspection of our school on 10th and 11th February 2026. Our school achieved the expected standard in all areas. Milford Infants was one of the first schools to be inspected under the new framework which looks carefully at how well schools support pupils’ wellbeing and ensure that every child can succeed.  Please see Ofsted's explanation for parents below.

The inspection will no longer result in a one-word judgement, such as 'good' or 'outstanding'. Instead, the report card that we publish will show colour-coded grades for a number of different areas - so you can see how we have graded the areas that matter most to you. These are new grades and should not be compared to what you might have seen on earlier inspection reports.

You can view a short video about our new report cards at:

www.gov.uk/guidance/understanding-ofsted-report-cards-and-grades.

I hope you enjoy reading about the school's success. I am particularly pleased that the pupils and staff received the recognition they deserve in the report.

*Classrooms remain calm, and low-level disruption is rare.

*Staff build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and apply the behaviour policy consistently.

*Playtimes are harmonious. Pupils in Year 1 and 2 enjoy the available space and play well together

*Staff feel valued as members of the team.

*Pupils speak enthusiastically about the wide range of clubs on offer, including those for sports, board games and art.

*Pupils feel safe in school and trust adults to support them.

*They benefit from the positive and trusting relationships that staff establish with them and their families.
