SCHOOL & PRESCHOOL ADMINISTRATION OFFICER
22.5 Hours per week Term Time Only plus 3 Inset Days
Grade 14: £18,426 - £19,171 pro-rata
£9,455 - £9,837 actual salary


This busy and successful Infants’ School is looking to appoint an experienced Admin Officer to work within a team in our school office. The successful applicant will be efficient and conscientious, with excellent organisational skills.


Duties will include:
 Providing efficient and effective administrative support to the Headteacher, Business Manager and other staff in order to facilitate the smooth running of the school and Preschool.
 Providing a friendly and efficient service to parents and visitors, answering queries and dealing with a wide range of information often of a confidential nature.
 Managing admissions and maintaining databases on current pupils.
 Making the necessary arrangements for visits and meetings within school and Preschool.
Excellent computer, literacy and numeracy skills are essential, knowledge and experience of SIMS.net would be desirable.

 

The successful candidate will join a friendly and well motivated team which plays an important role in maintaining the high standards to be found throughout the school.

CLERK TO GOVERNORS

10 hours per meeting

Grade 13:  £10.21 - £11.27 per hour

 

Milford Infants’ School is seeking to appoint a Clerk to the Governing Body.

 

The governing body, through its appointed and elected governors, plays a distinctive and essential role in the continuing success and development of the school. The primary purpose of the role is that of Governance Professional, working with the Chair of Governors, other governors, and Headteacher in dealing with administrative matters for the governing body and advising on legal issues of governance. 

 

The role will include preparing for, taking notes at and producing minutes for meetings and involves some evening work. Good keyboard skills and the ability to write agendas and produce accurate concise minutes are essential. Integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential.

 

The post will involve several hours work for each meeting and, typically, there will be eight Full Governing Body meetings and three Finance Committee meetings per year.
