  • Pre-School opening Tuesday 2nd June

    Fri 29 May 2020

    Dear Parents/Carers,

As I’m sure you are aware, yesterday evening Boris Johnson announced that the Government’s 5 key tests for lifting lockdown restrictions have been met. Therefore, from Monday 1st June, schools will open to Pre-School, Reception, Year One and Year Six pupils.

**If you have already requested a place for your pre-school, reception, year one or critical worker year 2 child AND have received a confirmation letter in the post this week, your child can attend pre-school on your agreed days from Tuesday 2nd June. Please ensure you follow the staggered start and end of the day arrangements to keep everyone safe. Social distancing must be maintained at all times whilst waiting for your child to enter pre-school.**

Please remember to apply suncream each morning before your child comes to pre-school. The only thing your child needs to bring to pre-school on Tuesday is a plastic bag with a change of clothes and a sunhat and a packed lunch if you have not ordered a school lunch.

We hope to email out photographs of the pre-school environments on Monday for you to share with your child to help them feel ready for the return.

If you have not yet requested a place for your child and would like them to return to pre-school, please contact the school office by email or telephone to make arrangements for week beginning 8th June. office@milford-inf.somerset.sch.uk 01935 475426

Thank you for your continued understanding. We look forward to seeing some of the children on Tuesday morning.

  • Bird Box Design Competition

    Mon 04 May 2020

Local company Modus Furniture have very kindly donated 5 beautiful bird boxes to all Somerset schools. They wanted to give local children something practical and creative to do that starts them thinking about design, making and the natural world.
If you would like to be in with the chance of winning one of our 5 bird boxes and your design being entered into the Modus competition, please print out the design sheet and email your design to class6photos@educ.somerset.gov.uk by Monday 11th May.

  • VE Day Tea Party at Home

    Sun 03 May 2020

Victory in Europe Day/VE Day took place on May 8th 1945, 75 years ago this Friday. It was a public holiday and day of celebration to mark the defeat of Germany in the Second World War.

We had planned to have a street party on Thursday to mark this celebration. We would like to invite families at home to have their own tea party as a family, or for the children set one up with their toys. Decorate your home with VE day bunting or colouring pictures.

We would love to see you all and how you are marking this special day. Please send photographs of your celebrations to your class email addresses or post them in our Facebook event. https://www.facebook.com/events/261519528332199/
